Raíces de Bienestar offers clinical mental and behavioral health services to Latine community members across Oregon. We are an Oregon Health Plan/Medicaid provider. On a limited basis, we provide discounted or free of charge sessions to individuals and families who are uninsured or underinsured thanks to the generosity of donors and funders. Currently we are not able to bill private insurance plans or Medicare.
Raices clinical services are provided via a HIPAA compliant telehealth platform or by phone for greater accessibility for our community. We are expanding in person services, on limited bases, to our Hillsboro office and Medford office. Raices’ clinic also offers mobile health services, in collaboration with other community partners, in the field in order to meet the community where they are at.
Our services include individual, group, couples and family therapy for issues such as relationship difficulties, stress, trauma, depression, sleep difficulties, anxiety, isolation, grief, adjustment disorder, acculturative stress, cultural trauma, etc.
We offer culturally adapted, personalized, compassionate, and evidence based mental health services for individuals, couples and families in need. Some therapeutic modalities offered by our clinical team include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Liberation Psychology, Multicultural therapy, Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, amongst others. Our clinicians assured that these evidence based modalities are culturally adapted and appropriate for the community we serve.
Sessions are offered by a team of bilingual (Spanish and English) and bicultural providers, all who are qualified mental health professionals or associates working under the supervision of licensed psychologists. Clinicians also include graduate psychology students and clinicians working towards becoming licensed psychologists or licensed clinical social workers. Our innovative and culturally specific clinical services also include promotores de salud and peer support specialists, who are the first point of contact for all of those who call our clinic. Our providers are up to date on state-of-the-art therapeutic interventions, receive on-going training and supervision in evidence-based interventions and culturally informed services, and they are committed to personalize evidence-based interventions to meet the unique needs of our patients.
The Raíces de Bienestar clinic also functions as a training clinic and works with local universities to provide training and opportunities to the next generation of mental health providers to serve the Latine community. Reach out to us if you are interested in training with us for the next academic year.
